Thumbnail Crop Position

Thumbnail Crop Position is a plugin that allows you to select the crop position of thumbnails in WordPress. By default, WordPress always crops thumbnails through the center of images, which sometimes makes us to obtain thumbnails that have lost important areas of our images.

The operation of Thumbnail Crop Position is very simple. Before uploading an image to WordPress, we have to select the coordinates for where we want to crop the image. All thumbnails of uploaded images will be cropped based on those coordinates. In the following example, we can see one of the most typical cases in which we may have problems with images. The image has a great difference in size between the width and height so when WordPress crops it through the middle, the thumbnail generated does not have people heads. With Thumbnail Crop Position, we select the top coordinates, where we have the important part of the image and get the desired result.
